Banker to the Poor by Muhammad Yunus, 312 pages

Muhammad Yunus won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with micro-lending and the battle against world poverty. He started a bank in India that gives smalls loans to people to help them start their own small businesses and get out of debt to the lenders. It was amazing what a small amount of money these people needed to become self-sufficient. I learned a lot from this book about how it is possible to eliminate poverty.
