Left to Tell by Immaculee Ilibagiza

This is one of the most inspirational stories I've ever read. The author tells of her 91 days spent in a tiny bathroom during the Rwandan Holocaust in 1994. In that bathroom she discovered God and then ultimately how to forgive those who murdered almost her entire family. I appreciated the fact that she wrote that while she was praying to God she also felt the power of Satan and through her agency chose to follow God. I consider this a must-read.

I'm sorry I'm getting a little comment happy on your blog here, but I keep seeing books I've read! I'm reading this one right now for a book club. Very excellent!

I too read the book Left to Tell and believe that Immaculee is one of the most inspiring people today. I thought you might be interested in knowing that she will be hosting a Marian Pilgrimage to Europe in the Fall. see: http://www.catholic.org/prwire/headline.php?ID=4811
